Apple’s macOS updates have been lackluster recently, with the most exciting feature from macOS Sonoma being widgets. However, macOS Sequoia brings more to the table, especially with the upcoming Apple Intelligence feature. Presently, Sequoia offers useful additions such as iPhone Mirroring, a dedicated Passwords app, and automatic transcription in the Notes app. The iPhone mirroring feature allows for seamless connection between a Mac and iPhone, offering the ability to view and control the iPhone’s interface on the Mac. This feature proves beneficial for accessing notifications, playing games, and maintaining focus without needing to constantly check the phone. Additionally, macOS Sequoia introduces improved window tiling functionalities, making it easier to manage and position app windows on the screen. The update also includes a slick background replacement feature for video conferencing, enhancing the visual quality of virtual meetings. Other notable upgrades in Sequoia include enhancements to the Passwords app, voice notes with transcription in the Notes app, and rich text formatting in Messages. Overall, macOS Sequoia stands out as a significant and noteworthy update, offering a range of practical features that enhance the user experience and improve productivity across Mac and iPhone devices.
