In an annual tradition, Disney announced that standalone plans for its video streaming services will be increasing in price starting October 17. The ad-supported Disney+ Basic plan will now cost $10 a month, while the ad-free Disney+ Premium plan will be $16 a month or $160 annually. Hulu’s plans with ads are changing to $10 a month or $100 a year, and the ad-free plan will be $20 a month. ESPN+ will also see a price increase to $12 a month or $120 annually. Previously priced at $7 a month, Disney+ has seen its costs rise within less than five years. The Disney Bundle Duo Basic will now be $11 a month, and Hulu + Live TV plans will be $83 a month for ad-supported and $96 a month for ad-free. These changes were included in a feature announcement earlier this year, which also mentioned the addition of continuous playlists starting September 4, featuring channels for ABC News Live and preschool videos, with more playlists to come in the fall.
