Sonos seems confident in the state of its companion app, as the company has decided to launch two new products after delaying them in order to fix its buggy software. Recently, Sonos announced the Arc Ultra and Sub 4, with the former replacing the $899 Arc as the flagship home theater product. The Arc Ultra boasts new Sound Motion technology that allows for a more compact design without compromising bass output, delivering 9.1.4 spatial audio. It includes features like Speech Enhancement, HDMI eARC port, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and support for AirPlay 2 and optical audio with an adapter. The Sub 4, described as the most advanced subwoofer by Sonos, offers more processing power, improved connectivity, and reduced power consumption. Both products will be available on October 29, with the Arc Ultra priced at $999 and the Sub 4 at $799. Sonos also promises a software update to enhance system performance and bring back missing features, signaling a commitment to improving the overall user experience. CEO Patrick Spence emphasizes the company’s dedication to continually refining and enhancing the software to provide the best Sonos experience.
