SpaceX gets a surprising new enemy

It seems like the events of the past few years have been akin to a higher power playing a game of “Mad Libs” with our lives, and now it appears to be running out of options. Picture this deity pulling out a card that reads “SpaceX gets sued by…” and then shuffling through papers until settling on “Cards Against Humanity.” As it turns out, the creators of the silly game own land near SpaceX’s facility in Texas, which the company has been using without permission. Cards Against Humanity has filed a lawsuit against SpaceX for trespassing and damaging their property, seeking $15 million in compensation. If successful, they plan to share the winnings with crowdfunding backers. If this higher power needs more suggestions, perhaps they should consider having Engadget’s newsletter writers each win a billion pounds in different competitions on the same day. In other news, Microsoft is bankrolling the reactivation of the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant to power its AI data centers, causing some controversy. Movie theaters are trying to entice audiences back with amenities like zip wires, pickleball courts, and bowling alleys. Meanwhile, OpenAI is reportedly rebranding its logo to something more ominous, and it has been revealed that Sir Jonathan Ive is working with CEO Sam Altman on a secret AI hardware project.
