“Set for release on October 17, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead marks the first video game spinoff from the Quiet Place franchise, catering to fans of horror games. The game’s premise revolves around sound-sensitive creatures hunting prey using their acute hearing, where any sound can result in disaster. To enhance the gameplay experience, developers have revealed that noise detection support will be featured in the game. In line with the film’s focus on silence, players must navigate the game world quietly to avoid attracting the aliens. Developer Stormind Games is introducing a unique “Microphone Noise Detection” feature, allowing the aliens to react to sounds picked up by the player’s microphone in real life, adding a new level of immersion and difficulty. Available for pre-order at $30, the game is set to release on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, promising intense gameplay that is sure to get players’ hearts racing and screaming in fear.”
