Valve bans Razer and Wooting keyboard automation in Counter-Strike 2

Valve has recently initiated a crackdown on Counter-Strike 2 players using the Simultaneous Opposing Cardinal Directions (SOCD) feature on certain keyboards like Razer and Wooting, resulting in kicks from matches if detected. Accounts are not being banned at this time, but it is best not to test Valve’s leniency as they reserve the right to do so. Razer refers to the feature as Snap Tap, while Wooting calls it Snappy Tappy, and Valve advises disabling these features to prevent gameplay interruptions. SOCD enables automated strafing for players, allowing quick movement in two directions without releasing keys, benefiting gameplay tactics and aim accuracy. Both Razer and Wooting have accepted Valve’s ruling, urging SOCD keyboard owners to disable the feature while playing Counter-Strike 2.
